Wiersbe was voted for by the following 2 people: | | Jack Hay (Scotland) | EXPOSITIONS: I have the range of the “Be” series by Warren Weirsbe, but apparently, New Testament volumes are now incorporated in a two volume set entitled Bible Exposition Commentary. As with others from the same background, he is shaky when it comes to dealing with the sister’s place in the assembly. He leaves a loophole as far as the head covering is concerned, and allows for vocal participation, so we can’t follow him down every route he takes! But what I have found helpful is his ability to summarise a passage, and to give the general drift of the section without necessarily expounding every word and phrase. The simplicity of his presentation appeals to me. |
| | Daniel Rudge (England) | This is an excellent series of commentaries which present the truth of Scripture in a simple way. The author often puts an emphasis in his exposition on practical, daily Christian living. These were first produced as individual volumes, but have now been compiled in a two volume set called The Bible Exposition Commentary. It is well worth obtaining a copy! |
